Between the 14th and the 21st of May 2018, 1,388 counter-terrorism operations and 2,516 anti-drug and -contraband operations were carried out by the Turkish Armed Forces with the assistance of land and air forces. According to the Minister of Interior, a total of 21 terrorists were “neutralized” during the raids. 11 of the terrorists were killed, 8 were captured, and 2 surrendered to authorities, the Minister stated. During the operations, 190 people were arrested for allegedly aiding and abetting the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) terrorist group and 35 others for their suspected links to the Daesh terrorist group. 527 people were arrested for suspected links to the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETÖ). Security forces also destroyed 6 shelters, including several caves and 7 improvised explosives in the eastern provinces of Sirnak, Batman, Mardin, and Diyarbakir. Additionally, there were seized 326 kilograms (718 pounds) of explosives materials, 63 hand grenades, 17 assorted weapons and 1,100 rounds of various ammunition. The raids brought also to justice 768 suspects for crimes related to terrorism and 75 for organized migrant trafficking crimes were detained and more than 4,560 people were held for undocumented migration. On the anti-drug and -contraband operations 3,216 suspects were captured according to the Interior Minister of Turkey. The raids led to the seizure of 1,684 kg (3712 Ibs.) marijuana, 328 kg (723 lbs.) of heroin, some 37,433 pills or other forms of other illegal drugs, and nearly 63 tons (16,642 gallons) of smuggled oil. Parallel to these operations the Turkish Police’s Cybercrime division examined 803 social media accounts and launched legal proceedings against 413 suspects. Unfortunately, many more raids will have to be conducted to allow Turkey to get safer.

FETÖ is widely believed to have orchestrated the deadly coup attempt on July 15, 2016 which left at least 250 people dead and many more injured. PKK has been responsible for the death of some 40,000 people since the mid-1980s. ISIL has been responsible for the death of more than 300 people since 2015 in Daesh-claimed attacks in Turkey. This count includes the country’s deadliest terrorist attack, which killed 102 people and wounded 400 others in a twin suicide bombing at a peace rally in Ankara on Oct. 10, 2015. In recent years, the Turkish National Police has made nearly 20 percent of the global heroin seizures. Over the past decade, Turkey’s consistent cooperation with European counterparts led to the dismantling of numerous heroin networks along the Balkan route. Nevertheless, criminals are continuously adjusting and managing to find new routes and new people to join traffic. How can Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish National Police, take an advantage of the detentions accomplished during the raid, to gather intelligence on PKK, FETÖ, and ISIL, as well as on the drug cells as fast as they can?

There were a total of 1520 people arrested for connections to terrorist’s organizations and 3,216 suspects captured on drug trafficking in the past week in Turkey. Are you aware that the investigation of the alleged terrorists and drug traffickers can be accomplished by relying on what is stored in the human brain? iCognative technology provided by Brainwave Science is a disruptive investigative tool that has the ability to distinguish between innocents and perpetrators by detecting concealed or hidden information in the brain. Any person of interest can be tested since it respects the human rights, noninvasive and is highly accurate. The only requirement is a functioning human brain. People who allegedly involved with PKK, FETÖ and ISIL, as well as people who were arrested in connection of drugs, can all become valuable sources of intelligence gathering using this test. iCognative by Brainwave Science detects crime relevant concealed information from all suspicious people and supports investigation by quick identification of criminals from innocents. The technology identifies any specific concealed or hidden information in the brain and it is based on the solid scientific foundation called P300. It relies on brain information processing that detects a distinct change in electrical activity when a human brain responds to the sight of familiar stimuli. It matches information from the crime scene with information stored in the suspect’s brain – which authorities have not released to public. The technology behind the system is completely automated, so it requires minimal human intervention, virtually eliminates all errors and has an unparalleled accuracy rates. As in most cases, suspects and relevant associated people usually choose not to cooperate on sharing details, iCognative by Brainwave Science allows the brain to speak for itself. For this situation to conduct the test on each suspect, confidential information from the situation along with information known only by the perpetrator is presented in the form of words, phrases or pictures on a computer screen. In this case for example, facts such as locations of shelters discovered – 6 shelters, including several caves and 7 improvised explosives in the eastern provinces of Şırnak, Batman, Mardin, and Diyarbakır; amount & type of explosives seized – 326 kilograms (718 pounds) of explosives materials, 63 hand grenades; number and type of weapons seized – 17 assorted weapons and 1,100 rounds of various ammunition; social network information considered relevant to get into legal actions on a specific suspect is inputted in to the system as stimuli and presented.  As the persons of interest watches, while taking the test, brainwaves are captured for each suspect and measured at the end of the test. In a fraction of a minute, complex algorithms analyze and gives final result in each suspect case whether information Present or Absent. Within 45 minutes to an hour, each suspect can be identified whether his/her involvement is present or absent in the situation under investigation. Additionally, this effective solution serves the Security forces with an opportunity of investigating deeply in this case and get the truth from each suspect.   iCognative has tremendous ability to identify masterminds and planners behind the scene through testing on foot soldiers. The knowledge that such system exists with the Turkish Police and/or Turkish Armed Forces can quickly help reveal truth may very well act as a powerful deterrent for others to join terrorist cells and/or drug groups. The time to take action is NOW, this is the time for iCognative by Brainwave Science.
