3 American soldiers killed and 3 injured in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan

SITUATION

In a bombing near Ghazni City, in the southeastern province of Afghanistan, 3 American soldiers were killed and 4 others wounded including 3 soldiers. A roadside mine was set off by the American convoy while it passed along a highway. Six or seven fighters of the Taliban were reported to be killed too. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

The four Americans who were wounded in the explosion were evacuated for medical treatment. Only three days ago, another American soldier was killed in Nimroz during a fight with Al Qaeda militants.

This attack brings the number of service members who have been killed in 2018 to 13. While American and coalition casualties in Afghanistan have dropped sharply over the past several years, Afghan security force casualties have risen dramatically.

Taliban insurgents have continued to infiltrate the city of Ghazni, even after they were repelled by American troops sent to help the Afghan military there. On Nov. 21, the insurgents reportedly fired a rocket into the city while General Miller was visiting the Ghazni governor’s office, but the attempt was futile.

In October, Gen. Abdul Raziq, the police commander of Kandahar Province, Afghanistan was assassinated by one of his bodyguards in the presence of General Miller, who narrowly escaped this attack

CHALLENGE

The American troops and the Afghan Security forces face threats from the Taliban and Al-Qaeda on a daily basis. In addition to this,  the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant – Khorasan Province (ISIL-K), has set foot in Afghanistan and surrounding areas in 2015. The latest attack by the ISIL-K took place in a mosque at an army base in the Khost Province when a suicide bombing left 27 Afghan National Army personnel dead and another 57 wounded. Official figures reveal that about 25 Afghan soldiers or police officers are killed every day.

The US and Afghan forces have tried several methods like joint raids, combing operations, and even the Mother of All bombs in an effort to weed out the ISK, Al-Qaeda and Taliban. However, the adversaries now operate and communicate secretively. Counter-terrorism officials have grown increasingly concerned about terrorist groups using encryption in order to communicate securely.

It is about time that we realise that to win the war against terrorism, a modern weapon is required which can revolutionise intelligence-gathering techniques. It is not enough to arrest or kill foot-soldiers of terrorist organisations. In order to control and eliminate terrorism, there is a need to dismantle the whole organisation by switching from a defensive stance to an offensive and proactive one.

WHY BRAIN FINGERPRINTING?

Counter-terrorism agencies must always be two steps ahead of the terrorist groups in order to counter their moves. The agencies will be enormously benefitted if they are able to gain credible intelligence about potential threats and terrorist activity. A revolutionary tool exists which can not only determine if an individual has anything to do with terror but also use the information stored in his brain to discover more about his organisation. This state-of-the-art tool is called Brain Fingerprinting, developed and provided only by Brainwave Science.

Brain Fingerprinting measures the brain’s response to stimuli related to the specific information like IED/EOD bomb knowledge, weapons-training, aircraft-hijacking knowledge, religious propaganda, brainwashing, etc. The brain response can reveal whether the subject possesses such dangerous information or not. Brain Fingerprinting can help identify high-ranking terrorists amongst others, terrorist organisations, members of sleeper cells, places and events.

Brain Fingerprinting can accurately, with a certainty of 99.9%,  detect the level at which a person operates in a militant organisation. Even if a person is dormant, his or her brain will still reveal the presence of terrorist training. It is fairly straightforward to reverse-engineer the structure of a criminal organisation using Brain Fingerprinting.

Brain Fingerprinting test is a non-invasive test which involves no torture or trauma to the subject. It can be administered on captured Taliban or Al-Qaeda. Not only can the test confirm guilt, but also how deeply the individual has been involved in terror. It can singularly confirm the incidents which the individual has been involved in. Moreover, Brain Fingerprinting technology enables counter-terrorism officials to uncover plans and provide timely and valuable intel to security forces.

Brainwave Science aims to eliminate human suffering and torture during interrogation. Thus, Brain Fingerprinting gathers information without the use of questioning. The outcomes are not affected by the subjective opinions of the test administrator as there is no interaction between him and the testee during the course of the test. Where, traditional tools employed for investigation techniques like DNA, Polygraph and fingerprints are only applicable in 1 to 2 % of the cases, Brain Fingerprinting is applicable to more than 85% of the cases.

Counter-terrorism agencies can make use of Brain Fingerprinting technology to defeat terrorists and foresee terrorist activities in a cost-effective, accurate and reliable manner. Brain Fingerprinting can discover active and inactive terrorists, and is a powerful weapon in the fight against terrorism.
