SITUATION

In New Delhi, India eleven members of a family, including two minor boys, were found dead under mysterious circumstances at their home in north Delhi’s Burari on Sunday.  Police suspects that the family followed some religious practice to “attain salvation”. Ten of those dead were found hanging from an iron-mesh in the ceiling for ventilation, while the body of a 77-year-old woman was lying on the floor in another room of the house, the police said. Two of the deceased were children – both aged 15.
Those who were found hanging had their mouth taped and their faces covered with cloth pieces cut from a single bedsheet. The woman found dead on the floor was without a blindfold and had been allegedly strangulated. The hands and feet of the children were tied, the police said, adding that stools were found overturned at the spot. The police found handwritten notes which indicated a “religious or spiritual angle” to the deaths. A police officer said a probe will be conducted to find “if the family indulged in ‘occult practices’ or they followed ‘any Godman’. According to the police, they were informed by a neighbor that six to seven people have committed suicide. On reaching the spot, they found 11 people were dead.

Was it murder or suicide? The house showed no sign of forced entry. Nothing else had been moved. The gold jewelry worn by the women had been left untouched and their mobile phones and other electronic items were also all still in the home. Police also found a number of handwritten notes, which they believe refer to ‘unusual practices and beliefs’ and may have outlined a plan for a mass suicide as part of a spiritual practice.

Is there any truth to the ‘spiritual’ theory? According to PTI, one of the notes they found said: “The human body is temporary and one can overcome fear by covering their eyes and mouth.”  “We have found handwritten notes detailing how hands and legs are to be tied and are quite similar to the manner in which the bodies of 10 persons were found. They are exhaustive notes and we are studying them,” deputy police commissioner Alok Kumar is quoted as saying.

Police also told PTI that the notes seemed to suggest that this “ritual” would lead to “moksha”, the Sanskrit word for salvation, which was referred to several times. The neighbors, who described the family as devout, also said that they knew of no evidence to suggest that they were members of a cult.

Sujata Bhatia, Narayan Devi’s daughter who lives elsewhere, told PTI: ‘I can’t believe that they committed suicide. Everyone was so happy. Someone has killed my family and the police have to find them.’

CHALLENGE

In today’s context, law enforcement faces a lot of challenges and difficulties in solving crime cases. In the situation with the dead family of 11 people, Delhi police will need to work hard to solve this case, to verify witnesses, as the house showed no sign of forced entry.

With these in mind, a new security technology approach is mandatory. Where classical means fail, innovation can prevail and support law enforcement in its mission. This type of complex crime with several angles of investigation is a perfect match for Brain Fingerprinting.

WHY BRAIN FINGERPRINTING?

Brain Fingerprinting developed only by Brainwave Science is a state-of-the-art modern security solution. Its goal is to support law enforcement personnel with different levels of security challenges in their efforts to keep citizens and national borders safe. Its mission is to relentlessly deliver truth and justice at a global level.

Brain Fingerprinting utilizes advancements made in the field of neuroscience to enable a highly accurate identification of a person by distinguishing what a suspect, witness, or victim truly knows. Furthermore, the technology behind it is easy to use by law enforcement and provides valuable intelligence.

In the case with this New Delhi family Brain Fingerprinting can provide a right hint that might very well be the key to solve this case. Each of the persons living near the house of this family can be investigated through it. The Brain Fingerprinting test can be used to verify witnesses any other person even slightly related to the case. Technology can take any significant items may not be connected to the case in the near vicinity of the murder along with other significant items such as telephone wire wrapped around the neck, location of each dead body, approximate time of death, names of individuals dead, color of piece of cloth, type of tape used as inputs to test the suspects. While post-mortem report will bring new evidence into play Brain Fingerprinting can help bring truth and justice to the forefront. .  Based on how the brain responds to the mentioned stimuli, the system will detect if the information is significantly present in any of the suspects brain or not. With help of advanced forensic technology like Brain Fingerprinting , the case with the murdered family can be solved.

Brain Fingerprinting sets the benchmark for innovation and performance, as it is a highly advanced, non-intrusive, respects human rights and an affordable security solution, posing great value for law enforcement.
