SITUATION Since the United Kingdom upgraded its security from “severe” to “critical” in the wake of the Ariana Grande pop concert bombing in Manchester on May 22nd that killed 22 people and injuring 64 others, four arrests have been made. May 15, 2017: Australia Federal Police gets a $321m injection in the fight against terrorism

 SITUATION On May 8th 2017, Prime Minister Turnbull announced that the Australia Federal Police (AFP) will receive $321m, its largest cash injection yet in over a decade to help fight the scourge of home grown and global terrorism and North Korea seen as threats to National Security. April 13, 2017: Sweden-Stockholm Attack – Suspect Confesses

 SITUATION On Tuesday, Rakhmat Akilov, the man suspected of carrying out a terrorist attack in Stockholm confessed to the crime. His lawyer Johan Eriksson, had told the court and agreed to be held in custody. Akilov, of Uzbekistani descent, was suspected of driving a truck into pedestrians on a busy Drottninggtan Street, before crashing into a department store. Four people lost their lives in the attack. April 13, 2017: First Arrest on Borussia Dortmund Bus terror attack – German Police

 SITUATION After the explosion that hit the Borussia Dortmund bus on Tuesday night at around 7:15 PM, one of two suspects has been arrested and taking into custody by the German Police. The two persons were suspected of having “Islamist” affiliations and motives to carry out the attack.
