SITUATION The artwork of British artist Banksy has been stolen from a concert hall in France. This artwork was painted as a tribute to the victims of the terror attacks which took place in 2015 at the Bataclan music hall in Paris. The French Police are investigating this theft, as reported by a judicial officer. This stenciled mural, mostly black in color, depicts a veiled mourning woman. January 25, 2019: Canadian Honor killing suspects, mother and uncle, extradited to India

SITUATION Two prime accused in the 19-year-old murder case of Canadian-born Jaswinder Kaur Sidhu have been extradited from Canada to India to face justice for their alleged roles in the crime. The 25-year-old victim, Jaswinder, known as Jassi, was murdered in Punjab in June 2000 during a visit to India, allegedly at the behest of her relatives who were upset that she got married to a boy from a lower caste. January 25, 2019: 18-year old charged in ISIS terror plot in AZ

SITUATION A man from Arizona is facing a terrorism charge and has been accused of brandishing a knife in an encounter with a Sheriff’s sergeant. He has pleaded not guilty. The man is 18-year-old and named Ismail Hamed. He entered his plea on Thursday. His next scheduled court date is March 8. January 25, 2019: 2 Traffickers arrested, 3 Nigerians rescued

SITUATION Two traffickers along with three victims have been arrested by Nigerian Immigration Service in Katsina, the capital of Katsina state in the Northwest state of Nigeria. The two suspects were males aged 32 and 43 and were arrested at border patrol bases between January 17th and 19th. The younger is called Omoniyi Olowoporoku and the other is Omoseyin Solomon. Omoseyin was in possession of a travel passport and resident permit of Libya. January 24, 2019: Hong Kong’s biggest ever gold bullion trading scam

SITUATION Hong Kong Police arrested two alleged ringleaders and 12 other members of a fraud syndicate for operating Hong Kong’s biggest ever bullion trading scam. Seven investors were swindled out of about HK $620 million in this trading scam over two years. Among the victim was an elderly Hong Kong national who was the biggest loser in the investment fraud.
