SITUATION A wanted Egyptian militant killed three policemen and wounded five people, including three civilians, while he was being chased by the police officers near tourist market in the heart of the Egyptian capital. SITUATION U.S. is gearing up to eliminate the small remaining ISIS force in eastern Syria. Meanwhile,  there are thousands of European citizens detained in the war-torn nation. Syrian Democratic Forces, which control the northeast region of the country, estimates there are 800 Western men, 700 women and approximately 1,500 children detained in prisons and camps throughout the region. February 19, 2019: German police dog sniffs out 17 live hand grenades in car

SITUATION The suspicions of the local police after they found a car parked at the main train station in Dresden. An attentive sniffer dog was able to detect the scent of these. Two men have been arrested in this case. These two men are of Bosnian nationality.  Officers first detained the men, who had stopped in a no-parking zone outside Dresden's main train station, because they suspected them of immigration offences. February 18, 2019: Haiti: 8 armed foreigners held for national conspiracy

SITUATION Haiti has charged several Americans and other foreign nationals with criminal conspiracy after their arrest with assault rifles and other weapons, the national police said. The group was detained in central Port-au-Prince on Sunday evening and includes five Americans, a Serb, a Russian and a Haitian. There is no indication of the motives of the group. February 18, 2019: Mexican cartel targets a Cancun bar, 5 killed

SITUATION Multiple gunmen entered a bar in the Caribbean resort city of Cancun and opened fire on unsuspecting and innocent people. Five people lost their lives and five were injured. This bar, called La Kuka is located on the main avenue in central Cancun. It is 4 miles (6km) away from the seaside tourist hotel zone.
