August 1, 2018: Terrorist attack in Afghanistan,18 killed and 15 injured

SITUATION Police reported that 18 people were killed and 15 were injured as a result of a terrorist attack. Among the killed victims were a police officer and a woman. 9 injured people were discharged from a provincial hospital after receiving treatment. The attack took place near a government office building in Jalalabad, an eastern town in Afghanistan on Tuesday. August 1, 2018: Human-Trafficking racket busted in India

Situation 19 girls- 16 of whom are from Nepal, who were part of a human trafficking racket were rescued from Maidan Garhi in New Delhi by Varanasi Crime Branch with the support of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) team. It is suspected that the young women had been trafficked to India on the pretext of employment and were sent to middle-east countries, Kuwait and Iraq, as part of a human-trafficking syndicate. July 31, 2018: Ontario man arrested for 2009 gangland murder

Situation Police in British Columbia have arrested and charged 37-year-old Kreshnik Ismailaj, an Ontario citizen, with the murder of Kevin LeClair dating back to what Staff Sgt. Lindsey Houghton say was the peak of a gang war in Metro Vancouver. According to Police record, Ismailaj was traced down by the provincial anti-gang unit, the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of B.C., and arrested without incident in Whitby, Ontario, on July 27. Ismailaj had recently moved from B.C. to Ontario and has no criminal record. July 31, 2018: 12 drug traffickers arrested in Arizona

Situation Twelve people were arrested in connection to a drug trafficking network by Chandler law enforcement in the Phoenix area. According to Chandler police, arrested individuals-who varied in age from 26 to 57- were allegedly involved in distributing and selling prohibited drugs, a 13- month investigation found. "The drugs were being transported from their point of origin near the Mexican border before being packaged and, finally, distributed for sales," police said in a news release. SITUATION As per ITV Report, 19 suspected trafficking victims have been rescued in Northern Ireland over the last four months, police have revealed said. Seven of those freed were children.
