February 13, 2019: 59 suspects of drug trafficking arrested in Mongolia this year

SITUATION The Mongolian police arrested three people in the capital city of Ulan Bator on Tuesday. They were found transporting a large number of narcotic drugs. The announcement was made by the National Police Agency (NPA) on Wednesday. With these arrests, the total number of people detained for drug trafficking in the country this year has risen to 59, the NPA said. February 12, 2019: 43 human trafficking victims freed in Canada

SITUATION 43 victims of human trafficking have been rescued following a lengthy investigation in Barrie and Wasaga Beach. On Tuesday, officers executed 12 search warrants in Barrie and Wasaga Beach. As a result, 43 labour human trafficking victims, mostly men, between the ages of 20 and 46 were freed. The victims were born in Mexico and had paid large sums of money to traffickers to leave their home country and be transported to Canada. February 12, 2019: Arrest warrants issued by Turkey against 1100+ supporters of Gulen

SITUATION Turkey ordered arrests of 1,112 people who are alleged supporters of U.S. based Muslim cleric accused of an attempted coup on the 15th of July, 2016. This is the largest operation yet against such supporters. In 2016, rogue soldiers used warplanes, helicopters and tanks in a bid to seize power. February 11, 2019: Unabashed attack injures 11 in India’s restive Kashmir, 5 terrorists killed
