Brazen attack by Naxalites in India leaves 1 soldier dead and 4 civilians injured: Brainwave Science

Just as the state of Chhattisgarh, India prepares for Assembly polls, Naxalites blew up a vehicle carrying 1 security personnel, 4 civilians and injured several others, in a hilly part of Dantewada District. Naxalites a.k.a. Ultras, are far left radical communists, inspired by the political philosophy of China’s late Chairman Mao Zedong, and are essentially Maoists.

The security personnel were on their way back from town, after purchasing groceries. The private bus they were in was targeted on a busy intersection using an IED. The blast was extremely powerful, and the bus was blown to pieces. This private bus was allotted to the team of security personnel for election duty. The superintendent of police, of Dantewada district said that the security personnel were instructed to not use vehicles and only move with road-opening parties. Also, that they were instructed to send locals from within the force if groceries were needed.

Moreover, in the past few weeks, the Naxalites have, in separate incidents, destroyed a bunker and killed 4 security personnel. The state goes to polls on November 12. The Naxalites have called for a boycott of the elections and the affected areas of this state are on alert.

The Naxalites are a hardened group which have been terrorizing India for decades. According to a recent study by the US, they constitute the third most dangerous terror organization in the world, after ISIS and the Taliban.

The terror of the Naxalites plagues multiple districts in 7 of the 29 states of India. India recognizes the Ultras as the biggest threat to internal security. Their aim is to establish a socialist-communist rule.

The tribal people of the affected areas have lived their life in fear. They are 84 million strong and live in an environment where there is a conflict between the Naxalites and the Indian Government. There have been instances where the innocent locals have been mistaken for Naxalites by the security agencies, and also where the Naxalites have mistaken them for police informers.

The Government of India has spent millions of dollars to curb the menace and bring to end this era of terror. Moreover, the lack of accurate information about the locations and plans of Naxalites is the biggest hurdle faced by the security agencies. The locals and police informers possess information but avoid helping the security agencies because of the fear of the Maoists.

Naxalism remains an internal security problem which stems from the misunderstanding between the Government and a group of citizens with differing ideals.

The Naxalites have been radicalizing the youth for furthering its own objectives. The government’s approach of taking the Naxalites head-on has resulted in nothing but increased bloodshed of the civilians. The violence, instability and number of casualties in the affected areas has grown many folds since the beginning of the Government’s 8-year-old offensive. The conventional approaches have failed, and it is high-time the Indian Government employs a specific screening tool which can help it identify those with special training, links to Naxalites and recruiting responsibilities. Moreover, a tool is needed which can help them zero in on those who fund the organization, train the recruits, etc. Such a technology exists and can provide valuable information and help prevent crimes and mishaps before they occur. iCognative developed and designed by Brainwave Science is a modern forensic technology that is accurate, portable, easy to use and easy to master. It can provide results, leads and intelligence with over 99% accuracy within an hour. iCognative can distinguish between a Naxalite and a civilian tribal person. This is because it looks for existence of specific crime-related information stored in their brain. The incrimination information would only be present in the Naxalite’s brain. The use of iCognative by security agencies such as National Intelligence Agency (NIA), State Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will help them to identify the Naxalites and their aides. This will enable them to act faster and always be two steps ahead of the extremists. The information stored in the brains of the aides and Naxalites can be used to reverse-engineer the organization and help reach the top bosses. Illicit networks like Naxalites, consider revenue as both a key objective in case of crime and an essential enabler for their domestic terrorism agenda. Financing serves as the lifeblood for these networks and their illicit endeavors; they derive power from their wealth and use it to corrupt and co-opt rivals, facilitators, and/or government and security officials. With this novel technology, law enforcement can, “Follow the Money Trail” to combat Naxalism and weed out the problem from the roots which drains their channels of finances. iCognative can help the security forces identify and eliminate the head-honchos, rather than fighting the foot soldiers of this vast terrorist organization.

Usually, a iCognative test lasts 45 minutes. If the testee possesses information which only a Naxalite or his aides should possess, then this test will result in ‘information present’. The investigator tests the testee for the presence of information such as the location of the attack, time of the attack, number of attackers and the kind of their weapons, hierarchy within the organization.  Other information like bomb-making knowledge, financial information, links to Naxalite followers can also be added to the iCognative system by the investigator. This test can be conducted on the suspected Naxalite or any person. The iCognative system records and analyzes the brain responses of the suspect to determine with over 99% accuracy whether specific crime-related information under question is present in the suspect’s brain or not.

iCognative helps security agencies to look in the right direction and quickly thwart threats. The Naxalites have informants, expertise and weapons to fight the security agencies.

India is a big country and hundreds of thousands of lives can be saved by adopting iCognative by Brainwave Science. It can turn the tables in matters of National Security and Counter-terrorism. The test has no counter-measures, no false-positives and no false-negatives. The Indian Government can now avail a tool which can help end this menace of domestic terrorism in a cost-effective and scientific manner.
