Banksy’s art tribute to victims of terror attack stolen

The artwork of British artist Banksy has been stolen from a concert hall in France. This artwork was painted as a tribute to the victims of the terror attacks which took place in 2015 at the Bataclan music hall in Paris. The French Police are investigating this theft, as reported by a judicial officer.
This stencilled mural, mostly black in colour, depicts a veiled mourning woman. It had been painted on an emergency door from where hundreds fled during the terrorist attack. It was stolen last week. The judicial official was not authorized to be publicly named because the investigation is ongoing.
The officials of Bataclan have expressed their sadness on Twitter with the words, “Banksy’s work, a symbol of remembrance and belonging to all: locals, Parisians, citizens of the world, has been taken from us.” They described the theft as “profound indignation that drives us today.” It was one of at least seven murals by the street artist that appeared throughout Paris in June, several of which appeared to highlight France’s refugee crisis. Some were vandalized immediately, while fans tried to put protection on others.
Sources close to the investigation said a “group of hooded individuals” allegedly drove off with the art in a truck. Police investigators are trying to trace the thieves and recover the artwork, estimated to be worth millions. An alarm inside the Bataclan was reportedly set off around 4:25 am and police found a screwdriver besides the spot the painting was taken from. Last year a Banksy print worth thousands of pounds was stolen from an exhibition of the artist’s work in Toronto.
Ninety people were killed at the Bataclan on Nov. 13, 2015, the deadliest location in a series of coordinated attacks in Paris that targeted bars, restaurants and the sports stadium, leaving 130 people dead in total and hundreds more injured. Members of the Islamic State extremist organization are said to have been behind this attack.
The Bataclan re-opened a year after the attacks.
There are multiple crimes which can be solved by investigating this incident. Was this theft an act of vengeance by the members of the ISIS or their sympathizers, who wanted this mural tribute to be removed? Or was it theft because of the sheer market value of the elusive artists’ work? After all, this is the not the first time that Banksy’s artwork has been stolen. On the other hand, the fact that the pieces of his art which were a tribute to the victims of the terror attacks have been vandalized immediately after being unveiled, suggests that some individual or a group holds a grudge.
The presence of so many possibilities and little or no evidence makes this investigation a complex and a lengthy one. If DNA or fingerprinting evidence is absent, then the investigators do not have much choice in this case.
There is a dire need for a one-stop solution which is not only reliable but also less costly and requires less manpower.
WHY BRAIN FINGERPRINTING?
A US-based company has the answer to this problem. Brainwave Science has introduced a path-breaking technology called Brain Fingerprinting. It has helped put the ball back in the investigator’s court. Brain Fingerprinting is an effective way to screen suspects in a way which is backed by science and bound by time. It not only helps achieve realistic results but also helps justice to be served in a timely manner.
It is surprising that DNA and conventional fingerprints are only uncovered in 1-2% of all the cases. To add to this, they can only be applied when investigators painstakingly collect and preserve the specimens and samples. This process is incredibly time-consuming, labor-intensive and costly.
In a world where investigative agencies are not only bogged down with several pending investigations but also need to coordinate with other agencies for cases which fall in multiple categories, Brain Fingerprinting is the savior which slashes manpower requirements, decimates the time needed and makes the process economical.
Brain Fingerprinting creates a favorable environment for the investigative agencies, the judiciary and the poor victim who just wants justice to be served fairly.
Brain Fingerprinting uses a specialized headset in the test. It is a 100% computer based scientifically backed technology. The headset reads the brain responses of the test suspect, who is usually an arrested suspect or a witness. It then relays it a computer system, usually a laptop, which is operated by the test administrator. The brain reactions of the test subject upon exposure to incriminating information, are analyzed in the computer system, during the test. As soon as the test is concluded, the Brain Fingerprinting displays the result in the form of either ‘information present’ or ‘information absent’.
What the test subject is exposed to is called stimuli, this is in the form of either images, words or phrases which are relevant to the crime under investigation. After the investigators gather information about the crime, they compile a set of stimuli which, if the test subject is aware of, will indicate that he or she is privy to the inside details of that crime, and will consequently indicate their involvement.
Once the suspects are arrested, a Brain Fingerprinting test can be run on them. This will indicate, with an accuracy of 99.9% whether they have crime-related information concealed in their brain. There are several clues like the screwdriver left behind, the fact that a getaway vehicle was used, the information that several hooded individuals did the job, etc.
The stimulus during the Brain Fingerprinting test of the suspects can be the words or phrases extracted from the eyewitness accounts of the thievery, grabs of the CCTV footage which shows the thieves at critical moments, for example while dropping the screwdriver, while removing the mural, while loading the mural, going through monitored traffic intersections, details of online exchanges which show that the thieves are attempting to sell the stolen artwork, exchanges with terrorists, terrorist sympathizers, other vandals, etc.
The beauty lies in the fact that this Brain Fingerprinting is highly reliable, easy to teach, easy to learn, highly customizable and portable.
The mission of Brainwave Science is to eliminate coercion, torture and human suffering from the process of interrogation. Brain Fingerprinting makes that dream a reality. This is because, during the test, there is no verbal exchange between the test administrator and the test subject. The test has no known countermeasures. It does not report false positives or false negatives. The test is not affected by the subjective opinions of the test administrator.
Brain Fingerprinting is a technology which boasts of being applicable to 85-90% of all civil and criminal cases. All the above merits make it a tool worthy of being in every investigation agencies’ toolkit. Law Enforcement is one of the many agencies which can benefit from Brainwave Science’s Brain Fingerprinting. This technology is used worldwide by agencies related to national security, border security, immigration, human and drug trafficking, and counter-terrorism.
The French investigative agencies will be able to reach a logical conclusion to this case by using the awesome power of the Brain Fingerprinting tool, provided and whole-heartedly supported only by Brainwave Science.
