SITUATION   The Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau and the Organized Crime and Corruption Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office led one of the largest covert police operations the country has seen in recent years.  Europol and different Lithuanian authorities supported this operation.   SITUATION    Thousands gathered in Brazilian cities on Saturday to mark one month since the murder of Rio de Janeiro city councilwoman Marielle Franco, whose murder shocked the country and the international community, and until now, remains unsolved. April 13th, 2018: New clues in unsolved dancer murder case

SITUATION    Kathy Boswell was a 27-year-old dancer from Jacksonville whose murder has been unsolved since 1984. Now, decades later, investigators believe her murderer may still be on the loose. April 13th, 2018: Police Investigating Child Death in Fitchburg

SITUATION   Authorities are investigating the suspicious child death of a 6-year-old girl who was found unresponsive at her home on Tuesday, according to the Worcester district attorney’s office. The police also found a 9-year-old boy, injured. Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said at an afternoon news conference that police responded to a 911 call on 139 Stoneybrook Road just before noon. April 11th, 2018: New Trial Upheld for murder convicted Adnan Syed of ‘Serial’

SITUATION   An appeals panel on Thursday vacated the murder convicted Adnan Syed, whose case was chronicled in the first season of the hit podcast “Serial,” and ruled that he should be granted a new trial on all charges.
