Five mosques in Birmingham have been targeted in a strand of violent attacks after having their windows shattered with sledgehammers on Thursday. This event is the latest in a spate of Islamophobia attack since Christchurch massacre. West Midlands Police and Counter-terrorism unit are investigating attacks on the place of worship.
The West Midlands force added the attack on five mosques were “being treated as linked.”
West Midlands Police spokeswoman said it was yet to establish a motive for the attack. One of the attacks is understood to have taken place at a Muslim girl’s school. Mosques across Britain were also on alert for the first Friday prayers since the Christchurch attacks and recent attack in Birmingham. Chief Constable Dave Thompson said in a statement, “The force and the counter-terrorism unit are working side-by-side to find whoever is responsible.”
The attack come just six days the New Zealand terror attack in which 50 people died. Dave Thompson said: “Since the tragic events in Christchurch, New Zealand, officers and staff from West Midlands Police have been working closely with our faith partners across the region to offer reassurance and protection at mosques, churches and other places of prayers.”
Forensics experts are working to identify evidence at the scene of the four attacks while CCTV is also being examined. According to reports, no arrests have been made yet. Shabana Mahmood, a member of parliament for Birmingham, said the reported attacks were “truly terrible.”
Britain’s home secretary, Sajid Javid, said on twitter it was “deeply concerning and distressing to see a number of mosques have been vandalized in Birmingham overnight.”
According the latest census, almost 22 percent of the Birmingham population and 6 percent of UK population described themselves as Muslims. Anti-racism groups have warned that Islamophobia is on the upswing in Britain, even around the globe, and spurring a spike in far-right activity in the country. Hope Not Hate charity report stated that more than a third of Britons see Islam as “generally a threat to the British way of life.”
According to Home Office statistic, the growing Muslim population has been the subject of an escalating number of hate crimes. Thousands of such crimes are reported each year, and this number is constantly peaking. The offenses have included arson attacks on mosques and schools, and anonymous letters calling for a “Punish a Muslim Day.”
Last week a far-right terrorist attacked two mosques in New Zealand, and gunned down 50 people, provoking international outrage and swift condemnation from leaders across the globe. In the wake of Christchurch massacre and Birmingham mosque incidents, it demonstrates the pressing need for adequate tools and counter-extremism policies necessary to prevent such plague. Some expert believe that Islamic State, Al-Qaida and other known and unknown terrorist organizations remains the biggest threat to humanity, and Islamophobic violence is merely a response to that threat.
Thousands of innocents have experienced harassment due to racism and discrimination around the globe. This incident isn’t about one community or religion or race, it is recognized as the crime against humanity. After Christchurch massacre, citizens and media houses around the globe demanded swift actions and prevention against hatred crimes. Due to international attentions and pubic pressure, Birmingham mosques attacks have turned to the biggest challenge for Law Enforcement and National Security agencies in United Kingdom as cracking this case within a record-breaking time is mandatory to preserve the faith of Britons on law and order. Hundreds of perpetrators linked to hatred crimes have been arrested, thousands of innocents have suffered/died around the globe. Still, counter-terrorism units still don’t possess the appropriate investigative and intelligence gathering tool necessary to find the root of this problem, stop such hideous crimes before they occur and identify the perpetrator from innocent with perfect accuracy.
“Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness”, a working definition published by a group of British MPs last year.
The ideology behind Islamophobia is a serious threat to a Nation’s interest as it’s difficult to contained. The view that specific individuals of particular race or community are dangerous and not part of society has the ability to ignite further racial and faith-based chaos in the community. Hatred Slogans like “You call it terrorism and I call it patriotism” are just mere warning. However, with the limited time and resources available, change is possible, and hope is there. How? Through advancement in technology and neuroscience, Brainwave Science, a US-based company, has launched the most revolutionary technology of the century that empowers law enforcement personnel to determine who is the perpetrator and who is innocent before or after a crime, by matching crime-related information directly from an infallible witness-the human brain with over 99% accuracy without necessity of physical evidence and it’s called iCognative. This technology guarantees accurate results, reveals what specific crime-related information the suspect possesses and identify the root of the problem within a record-breaking time.
Considering the inexorable pressure upon the West Midlands Forces and counter-terrorism units after Birmingham incident at this crucial moment, iCognative is the only forensic and scientific technology that can guarantee the fastest solution to this nemesis. This technology respects human rights and provide accurate results without any possibility of error and subject or investigator cannot influence the results of the iCognative test. What is the science behind this? This fully automated technology accomplishes these results and accuracy by matching crime-related information through specific brainwave called P300 using a proprietary headset. Such accuracy and guarantee results cannot be gained through outdated existing conventional investigation and intelligence-gathering tools opted by counter-terrorism personnel for such complex cases.
Law enforcement agencies around the globe who are facing difficulty to eliminate hatred crimes or domestic terrorism can utilize iCognative technology to gain accurate information and determine perpetrators from innocents within days with nearly 100% accuracy. In this case, all the necessary crime-related information could be accessible and verified with almost perfect accuracy once a 45-minutes iCognative test is conducted by counter-terrorism personnel on the suspect. Information such as- identification of perpetrator involved in Birmingham attacks, involved accomplices, method of radicalization, connection to any known or unknown far-right activist group, details of future attacks, knowledge and involvement in previous hate crimes, identification of handler or key members, etc., would be easily available to counter-terrorism personnel to investigate this case in the right direction within a record-breaking time as needed at such crucial time. iCognative can provide accurate information and evidence to identify the bad-apple in the society and bring necessary to maintain peace.
An assigned investigator uploads all the investigate details of this case and previous cases like last year, London mosque attack into the iCognative system protocol. The system records and analyzes the brain responses when case related and confidential information (together called Stimuli) is flashed to the suspects on a digital screen in the forms of pictures, phrases or words and determine with over 99% accuracy what information suspects possess and/or trying to conceal from the investigator. iCognative is so powerful and advanced that no perpetrator can either cheat or hide known crime-related information during the 45-minutes test.
Brainwave Science’s iCognative is the only technology in the security market suitable for such hate crimes as it not only identifies the perpetrator from innocent or reveals what information they possess or prevents crimes before occurring but also identify the root of the problem before any further chaos. iCognative is the only hope for law enforcement personnel to win this battle and maintain the balance by eliminating terrorism at domestic and foreign front.
